Anybody who, like me, has pingponged between real and artifical nails will tell you that theres no in between... they are cute and natural or fake and perfect. Until Yardley Gel Lac... loving it! Now nails are cute AND perfect!

LOVE - BB Cream

If you havent yet heard of, or invested in BB cream, you are seriously missing out. BB (blemish balm/beauty balm) cream is an "all-in-one facial cosmetic product to replace serum, moisturizer, primer, foundation, and sunblock. It can be worn alone as a tinted moisturizer, over serum and moisturizer as a regular foundation, and under powder, depending on the desired amount of coverage". In other words its a miracle do-it-all, plump-it-all, brighten-it-all, cover-it-all cream which is designed to oxidize to match the user's skin tone and it doesnt cost a fortune either ( Only R79 at Dischem)!

My favourite is Garnier BB cream which not only does it all but smells awesome too!

LOVE - Call It Spring

Call It Spring - the latest international brand to hit South Africa and quite possibly the best thing since Cotton On. I have yet to see a product on their page that I dont like. Remember those weird little jelly shoes we all wore when we were younger, check out this pair from Call It Spring - I'll be stopping at their Cresta store on the way home to get mine!

LOVE - Cadbury's Bubbly

Chocolate tends to excite me in general... but Cadbury's have launched a brand new one called Bubbly which is enough to have me doing backflips (and I'll probably need to do 100 of them to work off the amount of it I'm about to eat). Its just plain old Dairymilk (which I usually classify as too "vanilla" - excuse the pun - to really count as indulgence), but in the coolest shape, like little chocolate bubbles stuck together with Aero style bubbles inside. In short its tiny bubbles in bubble shape and totally delicious. Cant wait to try out the mint and white chocolate versions!

LOVE - Red Dot Cafe

The cutest coffee shop I may have ever seen, the Red Dot Cafe offers their signature 4 step salad bar which allows you to choose exactly what you want in your salad, an incredible breakfast and lunch menu and arguably the worlds best butternut and coconut soup. Add to this their red velvet cupcakes, wheatgrass shots, homely atmosphere and range of quaint woodworks, bread boards and photo frames on sale and I'd say its safe to say the Red Dot Cafe has perfected the recipe for success. I cant wait for summer to come so I can sit on the patio of the stunning Pivot at Montecasino and enjoy my Red Velvet Cupcake, coupled with a healthy dose of guilt and a Red Cuppacino.

LOVE - London 2012 Olympics

Theres just something about the Olympics that can captivate even the most reluctant sports supporter, maybe its the pride that comes from seeing your country's flag in the top spot  (woohoo Cameron, Chad and the SA rowing team), or some of the bodies on those Olympic athletes (anybody seen the beach volleyball?). Durex supplied over 100 000 condoms for the athletes in the Olympic village and they are on standby to deliver more - its not hard to imagine that they could use them all, all those perfect human specimens locked up together (with the exception of the female weightlifters). Speculation aside, heres some things you didnt know about the London 2012 Olympics:

LOVE - Mr Price Online Shopping

The only thing Mr Price has not yet mastered is the art of organisation in their stores. With the exception of the Lifestyle Centre Ballito store I have yet to visit a Mr Price store that is neat and organised. The battle to find the right size (particularly since they completely disregard the idea of matching the item size to the size on the hanger) also seems to be standard.

Fortunately somebody at Mr Price has caught on to the online shopping phenomenon and taken the Mr Price range to a place where it can only ever be organised and arranged by size... the web. With over 18000 items at the famously reasonable Monsieur Price prices, theres no excuse not to get shopping!
